Whether you are looking to deepen your understanding of teaching techniques, become a building principal or community counselor, or renew your license, the Department of Advanced Education Programs will work with you to meet your career goals. You may choose from a range of accredited academic programs including: non-degree licensure programs, Master’s degrees, and Specialist in Education degree (Counseling, School District Leadership, and Educational Leadership). Our innovative, online programs allow you to fit your degree around your busy schedule. At FHSU, online doesn’t mean impersonal. It means flexibility, convenience, and high educational quality. Once you are admitted into the program, an expert in your area of interest will guide you throughout your studies. Although the requirements for each program are different, you may be able to complete your degree without setting foot on campus, while still developing rich relationships with your faculty and fellow classmates. Courses include a unique combination of communication methods including Blackboard, Google Apps for Education, Blogs, Wikis, Youtube, Facebook, and other innovative technologies. AEP offers a broad range of programs completely online however, the Community Counseling program is 50% online and the School Counseling program is 80% online.
