School Details

California Baptist University, founded in 1950, stands on 130 plus acres in Riverside, California and continues to promote a “Christ-centered educational experience” based on founding principles. Initially, California Baptist enrolled 42 students and maintained just a handful of buildings in El Monte. However, the University continued to grow and expand, relocating to Riverside by 1955. As more students enrolled, the University constructed more facilities. By the 1980s, the school began conferring graduate students. And by the late 1990s, enrollment surpassed 2,000 students. Today, the private, not-for-profit four-year CBU offers 150 undergraduate majors and concentrations, along with 33 graduate programs to more than 6,000 students. California Baptist University maintains a student-to-faculty ratio of 18:1.

In addition, the University is accredited by additional organizations for specific programs, some of which include the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, and the State of California Board of Registered Nursing, and others. California Baptist University is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities.
