Program Details

Develop your skills in teaching 4th through 8th grade in a variety of education settings with Brenau University’s online Master of Education in Middle Grades Education. Finish your program in three semesters to increase your earning potential and broaden your professional opportunities in the classroom and beyond.

Brenau’s education programs are accredited by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission for Teacher Education Programs (GaPSC), so you can be confident you’re earning an advanced credential recognized for high academic standards and quality. All students complete two concentrations in language arts, mathematics, science or social studies. With three additional courses, you can choose to complete an endorsement in autism, English to speakers of other languages (ESOL), math, reading or science.

The 100% online curriculum explores topics like advanced curriculum development, pedagogy in multicultural education, contemporary issues in education and more. Students also complete a capstone experience to analyze and present an area of educational interest to demonstrate their new expertise. 

Graduates of the M.Ed. in Middle Grades Education are prepared for advancement in their current teaching roles.
