ONLINE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

In addition, BPCC Accelerated Fast-Track sponsors accelerated studies in business administration, general studies, and health care management, that allows students to complete 4-week and 8-week classes, in order to complete an associate’s degree or technical certificate. Accelerated programs are intended for adult students who previously enrolled in a degree program, but who did not graduate. BPCC maintains an open admissions policy.
The typical virtual classroom environment includes work often found in the traditional on-campus setting, in which students watch PowerPoint presentations and video lessons, engage in web-hosted learning activities, and interact with other students through discussion forums. Among learning aids for distance education, students can access resources through academic advising, technical support, electronic library materials, and a virtual bookstore.
Other eLearning opportunities include Discover BPCC and Open Campus. Discover BPCC is an innovative platform that allows anyone to watch free mini-lectures (from 2 to 14 minutes in length), in topics such as math, English, art, biology, business, and reading. Open Campus offers free non-credit developmental courses, and include subjects such as Basic Math, Fundamentals of Grammar, Intermediate Algebra, and others.
