A target market is the specific audience a marketer is trying to reach. Business’ use a combination of the elements to inform, keep and position a brand as the most desirable. A brief explanation of each element is:

Advertising: Advertising is a form of communication used to encourage, persuade, or manipulate an audience to continue or take some new action. The ads can be viewed through various traditional media; including newspaper, magazines, television commercial, radio advertisement, outdoor advertising or direct mail; or new media such as blogs, websites or text messages.

Public Relations: Also known as (PR) is the practice of managing the flow of information between an individual or an organization and the public.
