Tourism Management, Hospitality Prowess, Hotel Operations and Technology, Culinary Arts, Catering Operations and Event Management, Ethics, Human Resource Management, Leadership, Purchasing, Cost Control and Financial Management, Lodging, Management and Organizational Behavior, Marketing, Sports and Recreation, Hospitality Law, Club and Resort Management.

A formal degree is not always required to work in the hospitality industry; the industry has entry-level positions that require only a high school diploma or the equivalent. However, students and graduates of higher education institutions, earning a degree can be advantageous for students wishing to pursue management, leadership and will also secure the opportunity for advancement in future positions.

The many different types of careers that can be pursued with a hospitality and tourism degree can include: lodging management, food service management or casino management, other options are entrepreneurship in restaurant ownership, an event planner, or pursuing a career as a travel agent.
