The Cleveland Plain Dealer (and its affiliated website, Cleveland.com) discussed how readers can determine if an online school is a credible, reliable institution, with Vicky Phillips, GetEducated CEO and founder, as the article's main source. Phillips pointed out that the number of online degrees has soared from a handful available 20 years ago to more than 12,000 available today.

An excerpt:

The most widely recognized university accreditation comes from six regional boards that Phillips lists on her site.
