I've been researching a number of different degree programs, and found one PhD program in the field of "Technology Management" from Indiana State University: technology.indstate.edu/consortphd/
It's actually a program run by a consortium of schools, including ISU:
- Bowling Green State University
- East Carolina University
- Indiana State University
- North Carolina A&T
I'm still reading, but it would require 2 on-campus sessions of 5 days during what they term their "residency" year, although they can be scheduled to include weekends.
It sounds interesting so far, but I may have to call them for some details about the coursework.
Hi DHandlos,
Another great find not yet in our online phd directory. Indiana State University is in my home state of .. well you guessed it .. Indiana.
Melissa, who oversees our university directory is an alumn of Indiana State University too. We have
6 online masters from Indiana State U in our database.
We do not yet list this particular distance degree though. ISU offers a number of distance degrees, many focused on state residents with limited residency like the one you have noted. They are exceptionally affordable.
Back when I lived in Indiana they used a satellite TV system called IHETS to deliver distance degree courses via live interactive TV. They are offering more and more of their courses and degrees online now. The state consortium model is becoming popular and can be a good way to earn a degree cost effectively when state universities unite like this.
Great find! Thanks again for the tip.
