Hui David,
Welcome back.
We missed you!
I see you are still out there digging up possible new online doctorate degrees.
See Dave's great blog on the search for the
best online PHD.
It's like a treasure hunt, eh?
Thanks for both the new program update and the alert on accreditation at Mountain State. Many people don't know that a college can be put on an alert status or loose their accreditation if standards slip and are not addressed. While this does not hurt alumni it can mean that current students could end up with a degree that lacks the accreditation that is so crucial to employment.
Go David!
Keep us posted on these topics.

Hey everyone,
It looks like Mountain State University is offering an online Doctor of Executive Leadership (DEL): www.mountainstate.edu/programs/leadership/what-is-executive-leadership.aspx
It's a 58 credit hour program with a 5-day on-campus residency each year, with a cost of $725/hour.
The school is a regionally accredited, not-for-profit institution that has been around since 1933, but it appears their accreditation is currently under scrutiny. The president of MSU has disclosed that they've been given a "show-cause" order by the Higher Learning Commission to prove that they've addressed a number of concerns (president.mountainstate.edu/, www.mountainstate.edu/aboutmsu/facts/accreditation/Show%20Cause%20Order.pdf).
I find leadership a very interesting field, but I may follow MSU's accreditation status over the next couple of months to see how this shakes out.
Thoughts, anyone?
