Do any of the online MBA programs have internships? If so, can someone please guide me which ones? Thanks. And what about WGU in Utah? Any internships? THX!

In my experience (which is far from comprehensive) MBA programs (on-campus or online) do not offer internships often. What you will find is that some offer a 'summer abroad' option or a capstone which has some work done onsite at a business. But this is not the same as an internship.

Someone who has more involvement with curriculum development in MBA programs can verify this...but the problem with internships in business is that business is such a broad field of study. The students in MBA programs come from such diverse backgrounds, no one (or even a few) internship program(s) would be suitable for all of the MBA students. But what you will find is that many companies will offer internships specifically for MBA students. But you will need to seek these out...they are not usually "built in" to your MBA program

I quickly reviewed the program sheet for WGU's MBA program and did not see any 'internship' component incorporated into it. But feel free to see for yourself....it may be addressed specifically in the fine print:

I'd echo Miss Shona's great answer. I don't know of any online MBA program that itself offers internships or that places enrolled students in business internships.

At the same time many distance MBA degree programs have or require an end project, practicum, applied project or capstone project which they require students to complete at their *current* place of employment in order to demonstrate an applied mastery of business skills.

It is common for distance MBA programs to require that students who enroll be employed so that they can complete applied work projects on the job.

The WGU Online MBA does not provide any job placement or internship placement for students.

If you aren't already employed or currently employed in a setting where you can apply your coursework you may find some online programs difficult for you to complete because so many do require a workplace where you can apply business principles.
