Is there a college or university in the United States where you can obtain a Bachelors degree for life experience and by just writing their exams or essays or something of the sought. Also, can this be accomplished in one or two years. Please advise.

Hi Jewell,

Most college limit the number of credits yoi can earn toward a degree through non-traditional means to 30 credits or 45 credits -- or about 1 years worth of a 120 credit bachhlors degree.

However, there are a few exceptions ...

There are a few regionally accredited online colleges where you can perhaps earn your bachelors primarily through portfolio assessment by writing and documenting college level learning you have acquired on your own AND by taking nationally standardized exams such as the CLEP.

For details see our great FAQ on college credit for life experience to find out about this option in detail.

All the Best
