Online Teaching Degree - New
Educational leaders in the pre K–12 area now have an option to earn a
new online teaching degree degree from Penn State
Penn State’s new 30-credit online master of education in educational leadership degree is organized around five strands of leadership—as the exercise of responsible influence; in understanding the internal organization of schools and connections with parents and the community; in support of ongoing professional growth and development; in support of curriculum, instruction and assessment practices; and as practice-based inquiry grounded in reflection and action research—that thread through and connect all parts of the program.
These online courses are Act 48 approved for Pennsylvania teachers. The College of Education’s reciprocity agreements with other states make Penn State credits solid for teacher professional development.
The new Penn World Campus online master of education in educational leadership degree program begins fall 2011.
This is a great school, top ranked for its graduate school of education which offers these same degrees on campus and online. Founded in 1998, Penn State World Campus is the University’s 25th campus serving more than 8,500 students in all 50 states and around the world.
