If you are married to a service member, you may be eligible for online education scholarships awarded by the
National Military Family Association.
Similar to the GetEducated.com scholarship program, the association awards several $500 to $1,000 scholarships each year. The Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarships are awarded to military spouses (including veterans, active-duty soldiers, and National Guard and Reservists). They can be used for spouses who are obtaining professional certification or to attend post-secondary or graduate online schools.
Online education scholarship selection is based on the completion of survey questions, short-answer questions, and an essay question.
Scholarships include three categories: all military spouses; spouses of wounded soldiers; and survivors of soldiers who died post-9/11, while in active-duty service. People who are eligible for more than one category can submit multiple applications, but can only win one scholarship per year.
