Hamilton University was closed by court order in Wyoming. The school was originally known as American State University and may have roots in Hawaii. In 2010 the school was cited as operating out of the Bahamas. Hamilton University should NOT be confused with the real college Hamilton College of Clinton, New York. Both the US Government Accountability Office and 60 Minutes/CBS news have reported on Hamilton. The reputed owner, Rudy Marn, has been incarcerated on fraud charges. In 2010 the State of New York brought fraud charges against a counselor who used a Hamilton University life experience degree to obtain a job as a court counselor.
