Job placement shows that these students seem to stay where they are comfortable. Beginning their education in a computer lab, most students continue their education there as well. A few information technology and computer students go on to enter the school system as a teacher or professor. However, most continue working in the computer industry no matter what their degree level. This is largely due to the number of jobs available. Compared to other STEM degrees, information-related occupations are in the highest demand and will continue to be so. They are estimated to be one of the fastest growing industries in the nation.
