The
e-Learning Pundit blog, authored by elearning expert Paul Barnette features an in-depth interview with GetEducated.com founder and
online education expert,
Vicky Phillips. The interview explores the mission and purpose of
GetEducated.com as a unique site dedicated to helping consumers get educated about quality online education while educating them about how to avoid unnecessary college debt and the Internet diploma mill industry.
In the interview, Phillips discusses the origins of GetEducated.com as a site that helps consumers get educated about how to find and purchase an affordable online education. Phillips is a first generation college student whose parents never completed high school not because of lack of intelligence or academic promise but because of a lack of financial and social access.
"Making higher education accessible is a mission I believe in with my whole heart," says GetEducated.com's founder, whose involvement in distance learning began more than 20 years ago when she designed the first online counseling center for adult students online on AOL, an experimental project designed to help make college more accessible to rural, working and disenfranchised adult students.

Introductory Excerpt from the GetEducated.com /
Vicky Phillips blog interview:
Recently, I was privileged to interview Ms. Vicky Phillips, CEO and Chief Analyst for GetEducated.com. For those of you who may be unaware, GetEducated.com is widely considered the most highly respected web site of its kind on the Internet. CNN, Forbes, Newsweek, and the Wall Street Journal have all consulted Ms. Phillips for her expertise at one time or another. If someone asks me about online bachelor’s or master’s programs, then I usually point them in the direction of GetEducated.com.
